As new educational benefits for military veterans kick in next fall, some Rhode Island colleges are trying to prepare for the specific needs of student veterans. "Even if they're 22 or 23 years old, their experiences give them a level of maturity that most 18-year-olds coming out of high school don't have," said Christine Dolan, co-chair of University of Rhode Island Supports Student Veterans Committee.
