NYC hotels see lower occupancies in city's busiest season

Hotels in New York City, which until recently have been booming, report a slowdown in bookings for the next few months in a season that is typically the strongest of the year. Corporate travel executives have meanwhile been negotiating for bigger discounts on room contracts for 2009, and some hoteliers say they are reworking their budgets with expectations of a decline.
