Alaska editorial argues against hasty use of body screeners

New whole-body scanning technologies that would allow airport security screeners to peek through passengers' clothing should be put on hold, declares the editorial board of the Anchorage Daily News. The TSA is moving too quickly to introduce the technology, they argue, without waiting for legislators to determine how it should be regulated. "Whoa, tiger," they write. "TSA should stop expansion of electronic strip searches until Americans decide if the security increase justifies the invasion of privacy."
