Borrowing should address a specific need to help a company grow

If a business must borrow money, the money should be used in a way that helps the business grow, writes USA TODAY columnist Gladys Edmunds. For example, Edmunds says she used to borrow money to support accounts receivable in travel businesses she owned until she realized "it was stupid to borrow money in order to pay other people's bills."
