Column: Travelers must be aware of Secure Flight rules

Columnist Joe Sharkey says he can see problems with the new Secure Flight initiative, which requires that a traveler's name on a boarding pass match exactly the name on his or her ID. Airlines, travel agents and corporate travel managers are working with the TSA to ensure the transition to Secure Flight is as smooth as possible. "(I)t could be in your interest to ultimately change your driver's license" to match your passport, said Paul Ruden, senior vice president for legal and industry affairs at the American Society of Travel Agents. He said travel agents are trying to head off any potential issues by updating clients' information.
