FRA releases preliminary National Rail Plan

A preliminary plan aimed at formulating a strategy to address the nation's rail needs was unveiled by the Federal Railroad Administration last week. The FRA's National Rail Plan focuses on helping states develop their rail strategies. The Association of American Railroads supports the preliminary plan, AAR CEO Edward Hamberger said. "Railroads are eager to meet the freight and passenger transportation challenges of the 21st Century, and having a national rail plan will allow us to set policies that ensure success," he said.
