More schools embrace green technology

A number of schools in the Cincinnati area are going green, including those in the Madeira School District, which received a $1.5 million anonymous donation to install solar and geothermal heating and cooling. The Loveland School will use $6 million to deploy more energy-efficient measures and explore solar and wind turbine usage. In Kentucky, Kenton County Schools have saved $1 million in energy costs since 2005 and received national recognition for using solar panels, geothermal energy and a rain harvester.
