Officials must choose plan for N.D.- Minn. flood control

The Army Corps of Engineers will need to know by Dec. 1 which flood control plan Fargo-Moorhead officials want to use to mitigate flooding by the Red River. They presented several plans involving diversion channels and levees on Monday at a meeting of the Metropolitan Flood Management Committee. Construction would not begin until April 2012.
