Accor lifts profit target for 2010 as quarterly sales rise

Accor reported a 9.9% jump in third-quarter sales, prompting the French hotel company to raise its profit target for this year. While Accor is enjoying improved business in its upmarket European hotels, the company cautioned that its optimism does not extend into next year and remains concerned about its U.S. operations. "To be honest, I don't have any strong sign of a strong recovery in the U.S.," said Gilles Pelisson, CEO at Accor.
