Chocolate lifts children's Halloween spirit

Though children are drawn to novelty candies for Halloween, chocolate remains their favorite, with 68% of children surveyed saying they like getting treats made with chocolate, according to the National Confectioners Association. "The truth is that there are many tried-and-true candy favorites, especially at Halloween," said NCA spokeswoman Susan Smith. "Holidays represent tradition, and small traditional favorites are the true kid pleasers on Halloween night."
