Columbia Law publishes model green-building ordinance

Columbia Law School's Center for Climate Change Law has published a model ordinance designed to guide officials as they green their construction projects. Under the ordinance, municipalities would be required to adopt at least one eco-certification program, and buildings above a certain size would be required to achieve LEED Silver eligibility, even if they don't apply for a formal LEED rating.
