Federal agencies have yet to implement a law requiring them to develop a pilot's license that would include a photograph of the pilot and that would be capable of containing biometric information, a lawmaker said. Rep. John Mica, R-Fla., this week wrote a letter to the Transportation Security Administration, Federal Aviation Administration, and Department of Homeland Security demanding an explanation for the delay. The FAA said it plans to propose a regulation next year requiring a photo on the license. It also noted that current licenses have the capability to hold biometric information.
