Australia weighs religious references in history lessons

Australia will continue to use the terms BC (Before Christ) and AD (Anno Domini, Latin for "the year of our lord") in classroom lessons, a top official recently announced, following speculation the terms were to be stricken. The announcement comes after reports that BC and AD were to be replaced with BCE (Before Common Era), CE (Common Era) and BP (Before Present), which drew criticism for attempting to remove religious terms from history lessons.
