Bourdain: No red state food and blue state food

Anthony Bourdain, who recently got in a public spat with Paula Deen after he criticized her food as unhealthy and she implied he is elitist, said the premise that food must be one or the other is false. "If you look at the history of gastronomy, it's hardworking farmers taking what little they have and finding a way to make it reasonably tender, nutritious and delicious," he said. "This notion that there's red state food and blue state food, or rich food and poor food is offensive and elitist in ways I could never be."
