SSI payments to be adjusted for inflation

Recipients of Supplemental Security Income, the country's program for low-income citizens who have disabilities, will see a 3.6% increase in monthly payments this year, its first boost since 2009. The increase represents an automatic cost-of-living adjustment triggered by rising inflation.
