Ala. district boosts meal participation by offering more options

An Alabama school district recently celebrated National School Lunch Week with events and activities designed to highlight the healthy school meals served daily. Laura Parker, the school system's child nutrition program director, says the goal of the program is to offer students choices, including fresh fruits and vegetables. "By offering choices, the students are going to find something they like," she said.
