Hillshire Brands' innovation strategy focuses on new products, experiences

Hillshire Brands will use a collection of its premium brands as a testing ground for introducing new products, says chief innovation officer Sally Grimes. New products coming soon include Jimmy Dean pancake/sausage on a stick and a Delights line of egg white muffin sandwiches. The innovation strategy includes plans to redefine certain brands such as Jimmy Dean sausages to be more than just a breakfast sausage but rather a "hearty comfort food experience," Grimes says in this video interview.
