Ill. district considers hot-lunch program for elementary schools

Officials in an Illinois school district are considering a proposal to establish a satellite hot-lunch program for its four elementary schools. The proposal calls for meals to be prepared at a district middle school and transported in vans to the elementary schools. While a recent survey shows that parents support the hot-lunch program, some board members question whether it is necessary or worth the expense.
