Large grocers vow not to sell genetically modified salmon

Retailers including Whole Foods Market, Trader Joe's and Target have responded to pressure from consumers and environmentalists by pledging not to sell genetically modified salmon. Activists are working to shrink the retail market for such fish, which could be cleared for human consumption by the FDA as early as this fall.
