Minn. school makes aerospace science part of the curriculum

University Avenue Elementary School, a magnet school in Blaine, Minn., inspires an interest in science, technology, engineering and math among students through its aerospace studies program. Students in first grade there study the properties of air through activities such as building kites and touring aircrafts, and the school has partnered with a local airport and observatory to help enhance classroom lessons.
