U.S. dairy exports to reach $6.5B this year, expert says

Exports of U.S. dairy could reach $6.5 billion this year, a 25% increase over 2012, as the dairy industry capitalizes on lower production costs and broadens its portfolio to include products that cater to customer preferences overseas, according to Alan Levitt, vice president of communications for the U.S. Dairy Export Council. "And just as important, U.S. suppliers continue to mature, increasing their engagement and commitment to serving overseas markets," he said.
