Waitrose unveils plan to triple sales

Upscale UK supermarket chain Waitrose will invest £300 million annually in new store openings and boost its online business in an effort to triple sales to £15 billion by 2023, said managing director Mark Price during the Sunday opening of the company's 300th store. The John Lewis-owned retailer is behind rivals Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Asda and Morrisons, but it has been gaining in sales and market share.
