Australian scientists reject teaching of Intelligent Design

An Australian coalition of 70,000 scientists, teachers and academics has written an open letter urging the government and educators to stop the teaching of Intelligent Design as science. Federal Education Minister Brendan Nelson has backed the teaching of ID alongside evolution, if parents wish.
