The pros and cons of behavioral targeting

An explosion in the popularity of social networks is contributing to new interest in behavioral advertising on the part of mainstream marketers -- and to criticism of such advertising by privacy advocates. One new wrinkle in behavioral targeting is "influencer targeting," in which key members of a social network are tapped to build buzz.
