CFOs are tasked with more responsibilities

CFOs are being asked to take on a lot more responsibility these days -- including legal decisions, planning, operations, administration and investor relations. This year, more than 60% of CFOs surveyed by the Financial Executives Research Foundation said planning was in their purview, up from essentially zero in 2007. "This is great news for the CFO profession as the value we bring to the organization is being recognized more and more," Ben Paramore writes.
