Execs are seeing stiffer pricing pressure on medical devices

Executives from some medical-device firms say there is growing pressure on the prices of their products as hospitals deal with the economic recession and the imminent health care reform. Alex Gorsky, worldwide chairman at Johnson & Johnson's medical-device unit, said the introduction of new devices and products will be important to help offset pricing pressure.
