Girls get tips on starting their own businesses

Many girls receiving business advice at the 10th annual Guardian Life Insurance Girls Going Places Conference in New York City had started businesses before leaving high school. Claudia Geib, a self-published novelist, told attendees to do what they love. "Because if you are doing what you like, then even if you are not super successful, you'll enjoy it and it will make you want to keep going, and then eventually you'll get to where you want to be," she said.
