Grady Memorial Hospital prepares for H1N1 flu cases with Web tool

Atlanta-based Grady Memorial Hospital is bolstering its capacity to share and manage information with other facilities in case of a surge of patients with H1N1 flu by using Web-based technology that includes an event log. "We can use the event log to arrange for the pickup and delivery of needed supplies or equipment and communicate via phone, text or e-mail with key local and state health officials, all at the push of a button," said the hospital's emergency management manager.
