Industry chiefs: Fossil fuels remain key to meeting global energy needs

Fossil fuels will still supply about 80% of the world's energy demand in 2030, BP CEO Tony Hayward said at the Oil and Money conference in London. His statement comes as other industry chiefs stressed the need to increase investments in fossil fuels worldwide to avert an energy crisis. Leaders also expressed skepticism about the chances of crafting a pact on climate change during an upcoming summit in Copenhagen.
