Panel warns of "dire" threat from biological weapons

A bipartisan task force on terrorism is faulting the Obama administration for failing to aggressively counter the threat posed by biological weapons. Anthrax spores released from a single crop duster could "kill more Americans than died in World War II," according to a report by the Commission on the Prevention of Weapons of Mass Destruction. Bob Graham, the former Florida senator who chairs the commission, said that security measures "have not kept pace with the increasing capabilities and agility of those who would do harm to the United States."
