The standstill over interchange-fee reform

Three separate bills designed to reform interchange fees are currently in Congress, but movement on the bills has been minimal and overshadowed by health care and financial reform. However, if a Government Accountability Office study ordered last spring finds that consumers are hurt by interchange fees, the issue might move forward on the legislative agenda.
