U.S., China to bolster climate efforts to achieve success at U.N. summit

President Barack Obama and Chinese leader Hu Jintao agreed to step up efforts to meet the goals of the U.N. climate summit in Copenhagen this December, the White House said. Both countries are working on "significant actions to confront climate change and reduce emissions," it added. This comes as wealthy and fast-developing countries reached an impasse on how to address issues related to climate change.
