CMS finalizes Stage 1 meaningful use clarifications

The CMS is moving through the final steps to issue a notice clarifying certain aspects of the first stage meaningful use and a guidance to help providers meet the program's quality standards. The agency also has posted on its website a list of meaningful use questions and answers. "We have to remember that this is a program not about buying software but about measuring and improving outcomes for individual and population health," a CMS official said.
