Could green grilling roll back climate change?

Carbon-negative barbecuing could have a small but important role to play in the battle against climate change, says Durwood Zaelke. By turning wood into charcoal, specially designed grills could lock away atmospheric carbon, helping to slow or even reverse global warming. The technology would also "help make sure my environmental friends don't criticize me when I'm grilling my steak," Zaelke says.
