Father's diet, weight may raise diabetes risk for daughters

In a study of rats, researchers found males that were overweight and fed a high-fat diet had female offspring that showed signs of diabetes at 13 weeks. The lead researcher said that if the findings hold true in humans, it could help to explain the obesity and diabetes epidemic.
