Roofing firms could face $295,000 in fines after worker dies

Kansas-based Kirberg Roofing and Missouri-based Davila Sheet Metal could face fines from OSHA after a Kirberg worker fell 40 feet through a roof to his death. On the site, OSHA reported Kirberg had two alleged willful and two alleged serious violations; Davila Sheet Metal was cited for fall hazards along with two alleged willful violations and one alleged serious violation. OSHA recommended a fine of $150,000 for Kirberg and $145,000 for Davila.
