Vegetable consumption is tied to lower risk for a type of breast cancer

Black women who consumed at least two servings of vegetables daily, particularly carrots, broccoli, collard greens and cabbage, were 43% less likely than those who had fewer servings to develop estrogen receptor-negative breast cancer, a large 12-year study showed. Researchers did not find a similar benefit for fruit consumption.
