IWEA: $1.7B power-line project would boost Iowa's wind sector

Construction of Clean Line Energy Partners' Rock Island Clean Line transmission line project could take a step forward if it receives approval from regulators and landowners. The project will create as many as 5,000 temporary jobs during its construction and 500 permanent jobs. The Iowa Wind Energy Association released a statement saying that it supports the development of the 500-mile electricity transmission line because it "will result in the construction of many more wind farms in NW Iowa which results in more jobs."
