Private social networks find favor with businesses

U.S. companies are increasingly turning to internal social networks to spur collaboration between employees and interaction with customers. Facebook-like private-cloud-based social-networking services have been attracting thousands of users each year. Four out of five Fortune 500 companies are now using one service, called Yammer, which has generated 100,000 corporate accounts since its launch three years ago.
