Scientists close in on Hendra vaccine

U.S.-based researchers say the vaccine they've created to fight the Hendra virus, which can be transmitted from horses to humans, has proved effective on monkeys and will now be tested in human trials. The disease has killed four people and 34 horses in Australia since 1994.
