Wine world sees growing demand for truth-in-labeling

Consumers are increasingly demanding truth-in-labeling on wine labels, including efforts to include place names such as Champagne and Burgundy only if the wines have been produced in those regions, said representatives from 12 of the world's wine-growing regions who met this week. In a recent poll, 79% of consumers said they consider region important when choosing a wine.
