ACA applications approach 500,000 amid glitches

Almost half a million Americans have applied for health insurance through the Affordable Care Act's federal- and state-run exchanges despite technical issues, a White House official said Saturday. The total number of individuals who have enrolled successfully on the marketplaces is yet to be revealed by HHS officials, making it hard to determine if the White House is on track to reach its goal of 7 million. "We are going to work intensely for the next six months to make sure we meet the demand," a White House official said.
