SAP reported third-quarter revenue of €4 billion, a 2% improvement from the year before, including €149 million from its HANA in-memory database, up 79%. Cloud software and services accounted for €1 billion, SAP said, and software sales rose 5%. "SAP had a very strong performance in the third quarter, considering the mixed macroeconomic environment and the strong currency headwinds. Our ongoing focus on operating discipline while successfully scaling our cloud business is paying off," Chief Financial Officer Werner Brandt said.
