Commentary: Save the bank branch by transforming it

Customers want different things from their banking experience, which means banks don't have to close all branches but do have to transform them, writes John Berry, Bank of America's former channel integration and sales and service executive. The average branch is 36 years old, according to research published in 2011, and its processes and technologies often are equally outdated, he writes.
