Conn. mayor stops in for civics chat with AP students

Students in Matthew Altieri's Advanced Placement government and politics class at Sheehan High School in Wallingford, Conn., recently heard from Mayor William W. Dickinson Jr. about local government and why it is important. As he has done with other political candidates, Altieri invited Dickinson to his class to speak to students about the issues. "Theoretically, I can talk to them all day about it, but it's not as good as bringing someone in," Altieri said.
