Critics question operations estimates at Mont. airport

A plan to expand the Kalispell City Airport in Montana has been pending for decades. However, opponents to the plan have recently questioned whether estimates for the number of annual operations at the airport have been inflated in order to make the airport eligible for federal funding. Annual operations estimates have ranged from 12,000 to 41,300.
