Former NFL player Leigh Bodden is investing $1.2 million in his second career as a multiunit franchisee for Retro Fitness, with the first of his three gyms expected to open in the Washington, D.C., area in December. "I have been in fitness my whole life and you want to go into something that you know," said Bodden, who found his niche in the 100-unit, New Jersey-based company at a franchise convention after considering investment in Subway, McDonald's and hotels.
