Ohio districts add typing lessons ahead of online exams

Preparations in some districts and states to administer online exams aligned with the Common Core State Standards include teaching students to type. Some educators say they are concerned that students lack the typing skills necessary to take the exams. Some Ohio school districts are beefing up their keyboarding and typing instruction to prepare students, starting as early as kindergarten, for a future of online school and state tests.
