Oracle buys content-marketing provider Compendium

Oracle is buying cloud-based content marketer Compendium to improve its top-of-funnel engagement and conversion. Compendium's offering will be added to Oracle customer service packages and the Eloqua Marketing Cloud. The purchase likely wasn't for new technology "but rather for an approach that the company felt it couldn't deliver as well as it should," Robert Rose writes.
