Tax reform initiatives move forward alongside budget conference

Senate Finance Chairman Max Baucus, D-Mont., and House Ways and Means Chairman Dave Camp, R-Mich., plan to move forward on tax reform while a budget conference works to reconcile the budget proposals from the House and Senate. "I'll be working with all members of that committee to help with the tax components and also the entitlement components," Baucus said. "But at the same time, we're going to be working ahead in a parallel way to move on tax reform." The budget committee has until Dec. 13 to work out an agreement over the budget.
